Subscribe to expressions vinyl s channel here https goo gl y3jpi4 in this video jessica goes over some non conventional items to use with heat transfer.
Heat transfer vinyl on acrylic. In the image above we are peeling the backing off of an elasti prints transfer. I ve never tried heat transfer vinyl but to be honest i don t know why i d bother. Press the heat transfer vinyl onto the acrylic for 5 seconds at 300 degrees. In addition to my post on adhesive vinyl you ll also want to know these things for applying vinyl on an acrylic blank.
Here we are peeling the backing off of an elasti prints transfer. Peel the protective masking off of one side of the acrylic. Don t forget to peel off the protective layer. Re cover the acrylic now with htv on it with the parchment paper and press again for another 5 seconds.
Since i m using sparkleberry ink htv i ll need to add magic mask using a vinyl squeegee and burnishing well. Open the top place of the heat press and carefully remove the carrier sheet. And ta da no bubbles in your vinyl. However if your htv already has a carrier sheet skip this step.
Use adhesive vinyl like oracle or avery. Use heat transfers that apply at a lower temperature for these acrylic apparel options.
